What happens to an item on a PO if I cancel an SO
You have the option to cancel a Sales Order even after a Purchase Order has been submitted.
- If the Sales Order was cancelled, an issue will be created to alert the user that there are items on a Purchase Order that are no longer associated with a Sales Order.
- It is recommended that you follow up with vendor to determine if they can cancel the item or if you'll still need to receive it.
- If you are going to receive the cancelled item it will just become stock inventory that can be sold.
- If the vendor is able to cancel the order you can remove it from the Purchase Order. Find the purchase order, click on the 3 dots and select Edit.
- Find the item on the purchase order and click on the trash can to the right of the product to remove it.
- Click submit to update the order.
